2. Visiting this website
To provide this website, the web server processes your IP address, the time and address of a request, HTTP status, amount of data transferred and, where provided, the referring page and browser identification. This supports delivery, fault diagnosis and website security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation. Logs are rotated daily, with 14 rotated files retained.
3. Contact form, email and telephone
We process the information you provide to respond to your enquiry. Name, email address and message are required in the contact form; hotel or company and telephone number are optional. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries, based on our interest in responding to them.
Form messages are transferred to our mail server using an encrypted connection and addressed to our current contact email. The web application does not maintain an additional permanent message archive. Enquiries are processed in our email system. Data is deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with and there are no remaining contractual, statutory retention or legitimate evidential purposes. Technical hosting and email providers are used where necessary to provide the service; enquiry data is not used for advertising.
4. Abuse prevention
We protect the form using time-limited form codes, a hidden verification field and submission limits. Your IP address is converted into a verification value using a secret key. This value, a form code and a timestamp are stored, but not the message content. Entries are removed by regular maintenance no later than 24 hours after submission; additional cleanup takes place on new submissions. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in preventing spam and overload. We do not embed a third-party CAPTCHA service.
5. Language selection, cookies and external content
When you visit the root address, we use the language preference sent by your browser to direct you to German or English content. Direct language links are not redirected. No cookies are used for this purpose. The website uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Images, fonts and scripts are provided locally. No external maps or videos are embedded.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Any consent you have given may be withdrawn with effect for the future.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information: www.ldi.nrw.de.
